VAGINAL BIRTH AFTER CESAREAN (VBAC)

Try, try again. If you previously had a cesarean delivery, you can have a second chance at a vaginal birth. When you request to have a Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC), your medical team will evaluate your case and work with you to determine what’s best. The health and safety of you and the baby are priority. When your pregnancy is free of complications, the baby is a normal size and in the head-down position, you’re likely low risk. Nearly 90 percent of women who have undergone c-sections are good candidates for VBAC.
